Dear Braddock Community,
We are seeking parents and staff to sign up for PTA Committees for the 2011-2012 school year. Your time, ideas, and skills are needed to ensure that our children have a fantastic school experience. Please complete Volunteer Form and return to your child’s teacher and I will contact you to confirm which committee you are with or which school activity you can help with.
Community Service Hours - If you are in need of community service hours as a requirement to graduate or for a government course, please email your first and last name, contact number, days and time you are available to Mrs. Rae Tran at vp2@braddockpta.org.

2011-2012 PTA Committees:
ROOM PARENT
Help your child’s teacher by coordinating classroom information and needs to other parents.
SPECIAL EDUCATION
Helping teachers who work with children who require special needs.
HEALTH ASSISTANCE
Assist school nurse with annual hearing and speech examinations.
BRADDOCK BOUTIQUE
A community service that provides clothes and household items to families in need. Organize donations.
FAMILY OUT-REACH
Coordinate information to the Spanish/Korean/Other-speaking parents about all Braddock ES and PTA sponsored events. Reach out to the community for their help and be their voice to the school and PTA Board members.
BOXTOPS COLLECTION
Plan and coordinate the Boxtop Contests and the collection and submission of the boxtops.
SPIRITWEAR SALES
Plan and coordinate the sale of Spiritwear (T-shirts, Sweatshirts, etc.) at events.
FAMILY NIGHTS
Plan and coordinate entertainment for the Braddock ES families…Bingo Nights and Restaurant Nights.
WALK 4 EDUCATION (Nov 11)
Plan and coordinate the Braddock’s Walk-a-Thon to teach the children about fitness & heath and how to raise funds for their school.
SILENT AUCTION (Dec 2)
Plan and coordinate with local and big businesses for donations for items to be auctioned to raise funds for the school and children.
SPRING SOCIAL
(Apr 20)Plan and coordinate the event where Braddock families come and enjoy a night of fun, dancing, and food.
EAGLEMANIA
(May 12)Plan and coordinate the fun activities, food, entertainment, and games at Braddock’s Annual Fun Fair.
